A new line of Petrof pianos is now available!

Arrival of the Petrof Discovery P121.

This is the very first arrival to the DMV of the new Discovery line of pianos from Petrof. This piano — model P121 — made waves at the PIPPA piano conference this year in Las Vegas. At 48 inches tall, the P121 has a strong but sweet tone, and the action is quite responsive. It is similar in size to the Yamaha U1, but with a warmer, rounder tone. Now, we’re excited to bring it to pianists in the Washington, DC and surrounding areas.

Petrof introduced the Discovery line in order to provide a high-quality introductory line of instruments to complement its existing premium pianos (which can be out of reach for many pianists). With the Discovery line, Petrof focused on durability and reliability, while still maintaining the first-rate Petrof tone that has defined the piano maker for generations.

Petrof is a storied European piano maker. Founded in 1864, Petrof has been crafting pianos for over 160 years. Each piano is at least 80% handmade, incorporating both traditional methods and new technologies to make world-class pianos. Still family-run under its sixth generation of leadership, Petrof embodies tradition, artistry, and Czech craftsmanship at its highest level.

Like our other pianos, the Discovery P121 is not simply an addition to our inventory — it is a carefully chosen instrument that reflects our values as technicians, dealers, and musicians. We are proud to offer it as part of our collection, and we are excited to share it with pianists in the DC area and Mid-Atlantic.
