Sato is feisty old man. Despite his long teeth, and diminished stature, his commanding voice still manages to pierce through the cacophony of his peers. Sato is a worker, and after his recent body work, he’s got several years of service remaining (see this video for a glimpse at the work).
At 46 inches tall, Sato has a powerful tone. Multiple technicians calibrated Sato for better responsiveness and control, with effective and satisfying results. He is shorter than a Yamaha U1, but not quite as a bright as your average older Yamaha upright.
If new, this piano would cost $10,495 (Kawai ST-1). See this post for a $250 discount on Sato!
